My works center around my family. They examine the intimacies, responsibilities and layers of emotion which form our expectations of family, the most fundamental social unit. I employ activities, language, and imagination to explore beyond genres and categories to include all art and thought. Through activities that require participation of my family members who reside in different parts of the World, I investigate the undercurrent of contemporary domestic life. With language, I share my process with the viewers. And, I encourage the viewers to picture the events that take place only in a fabricated or conceptual realm of consciousness. I hope that by looking at my family, the viewers can to take a different look at their own.
