Laurie Fields
Laurie Fields began her career working as a textile designer in Connecticut. She is best known for her abstract paintings in which she incorporates textiles into her work as well as other materials such as cellophane and roofing tiles.
She received considerable attention for her two series, ‘Avant’ and ‘Cipher’ and has won a number of awards for her work. Other notable works include ‘Lumina’ and ‘Argenta’ which show Fields’ remarkable use of light.
