| In my creative process, I have always been attracted to color, texture, and material manipulations. Sense of place has always been the primary emphasis on my art. Whether it be inspiration from travel, or a deep revelation of my place in the Southern landscape, effects of earth, sky, and water have always had a steady influence on the direction of my pieces. The silkscreen series best portrays this encompassing feeling of being so thoroughly surrounded by an environment, in my case, the thickly humid regions of Alabama and south-east Louisiana. |

| Originally from Alabama, Frances pursued a texile degree with an art history minor at The Rhode Island School of Design. Her textile background has enabled her to explore a range of opportunities, from industry related design work to concept based fine art pieces. She currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. |
