Biography:
| David Barocio has been a dancing since 1991. At age seven he began his dance training in jazz and tap. In 1993 he began taking ballet class under persuasion from his dance teacher, since then he has never stopped. Mr. Barocio has recived scholarships to train at San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, and American Ballet Theater. He has had the opportunity to have trained with some of the worlds best performers and teachers such as David Howard, Edward Villella, Gelsey Kirkland, Stephan Wenta, Clinton Luckett, and many, many more. At age 15 he was chosen from more than 500 dancers to work with Academy Award Winner Debbie Allen in the Kennedy Center's production of Pepito's Story. David has performed pieces by Ben Stevenson, George Balanchine, Michel Fokine, Marius Petipa, and original works by Mary Margaret Holt, Steve Brule, Donn Edwards and Jeremy Lindberg. He began his photographic endevors with an internship with at a very prominent automotive publication in 2004 and continues to do so at the University of Oklahoma. He is currently a senior at the University of Oklahoma, recieving his Bachelors in Ballet Performance. He hopes you enjoy his work and feel free to email if you have any questions. |
