It is my belief that without passion there is no art. I try to convey this passion with innovation and sensitivity using color and form and emotion. I draw inspiration from abstract expressionists Gottleib, de Koonig and Pollack and try to capture the dramatic qualities of color and use them as an organizing principle in my compositions. Generally, I like to paint on very large canvases. I think this is because I am a big thinker, but also because my large pieces are the most popular ones.
Biography: I was raised in Quebec City and studied history, psychology and art. I am self taught in philosophy, religion and music. I live a joyful and purpose-driven life with my family, community and art at the centre of it all. My work shows in numerous private and public collections.
