Most of my work is figurative, mainly portraits of people or animals in pencil, pastel, watercolour or oils. Over the last couple of years I have become increasingly interested in photography, and plan to develop it for its own sake and as a tool for paintings. None of the work shown here is for sale. It's either been sold or isn't for sale. If you're interested in a commission, please get in touch.
Biography: I did a Pre-Diploma course at Liverpool College of Art in the late '60s, followed by a Diploma in Art & Design at Exeter College of Art. After a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education course at Exeter University I taught art in secondary schools for several years. I used to draw portraits on the spot at art and craft fairs in the summer, which was fun. I've also designed video-graphics for a major telecommunications company and done some copywriting, editing and design. Now that I've retired, I plan to get back to being an artist again. I'm available to do portraits (from photos) and illustrations, and will be creating original artworks for sale.
